Boylesports are a very successful bookmaker based in Ireland. They were founded in 1989 by John Boyle. They employ over 900 people and were the sponsor of Sunderland AFC from 2007 to 2010, they believe that this deal greatly improved their presence in the football betting market.
They became the Official Betting Partner of the Football Association of Ireland in 2008. They have a portfolio of other sponsorship deals within Ireland which includes, Boylesports.com Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival, as well as greyhound sponsorships including the Dundalk International, Irish Champion Stakes at Shelbourne Park and the Coursing at Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
They also sponsor Boylesports.com International at Cheltenham.
Boylesports Fon-A-Bet and Internet are regulated in the Isle of Man and are registered under the company name Boylesports (Isle of Man) Ltd. The licence was registered on 31st August 2007.
Zukido released Boylesports live betting application in January 2010, featuring live odds, real-time scores, statistics and text commentary on snooker, tennis, football, cricket, darts, ice hockey and basketball. Boylesports later added Zukido's Mini Blackjack, Mini Roulette and Mini Gameshow-Hi-Lo. In May 2012 BuzzSports began to provide BoyleSports with their In-Play betting facility.

On 26th September 2011 the following notice was appearing on the website of Celtic Bookmakers Limited stating that they are in receivership. The Irish chain of betting shops are being sold as a going concern.
Celtic Bookmakers had been established for over twenty five years. It was owned and run by Newstalk presenter and former Fine Gael minister Ivan Yates. In February 2011 Celtic Bookmakers were unable to contend with the €6m of debts that they had accumulated and they inevitably collapsed. Boylesports acquired 17 of the 47 betting shops which were owned by Celtic Bookmakers and saved 100 jobs of the 237 which would inevitably have been lost. This acquisition increased Boyle Sport’s high street presence increasing their outlet count to 158 throughout Ireland.
Boylesports acquired the following branches from Celtic Bookmakers:

Boylesports signs games deal with Net Entertainment
Irish independent bookmaker Boylesports is set to expand the portfolio of games available through its gaming site Boylegames.com following the signing of an agreement with Net Entertainment.

The agreement will see Net Entertainment deliver its range of gaming and casino content to Boylegames.com and associated sites, and follows the restructuring that took place at Boylesports earlier this year in March to create separate retail and online divisions.

UK in-play games developer Buzz Sports has signed a deal to provide its ZonePlay product to online sports betting operator Boylesports.com.

ZonePlay is a dynamic in-play betting game of guessing ‘what happens next’ in your chosen sports match, offering players the opportunity to bet on the next incident during live sporting events, with live constantly changing odds.

Buzz Sports said that the offering would provide an entirely complimentary product to existing in-play betting markets offered by Boylesports, with thousands of betting opportunities available on a daily basis.
